It doesn’t take much to make a delicious cocktail. Especially with a Meyer lemon just plucked from a backyard tree (thanks Grandma!).
My dad made me this delicious version of a gin gimlet with nothing more than Beefeater, sugar, and a lot California sunshine. These lemons are amazingly aromatic, with notes of jasmine and super fragrant citrus blossoms. They’d elevate any cocktail, especially one crafted by Dr. Bonfiglio himself.
Joanie – is that bottle a quart? If so that’s an antique!
Agreed! You never know what you’re going to find in Grandma’s Liquor Cabinet, right?!
A few years ago, we found a bottle of Bacardi Amber in my aunt’s liquor cabinet. Bottled in Cuba.
That is PURE awesomeness.
Delicious! I can practically taste it…
Dad knows how to make a good cocktail!
I am a sucker for gimlets altho I prefer vodka- esp love the oily texture Stoli gives to a gimlet. Hope you all (esp your grandmother) are finding comfort in family. And cocktails.
Thanks Sally… you’re such a doll!
