We’re in the middle of a Bartending Renaissance of sorts. Local, seasonal ingredients are making their way into our cocktails, and house-made alcoholic infusions are taking the place of the usual, mass-produced, suspects. And at the end of a long, hard day, there’s nothing better than the perfect, hand-crafted concoction (make mine a Negroni, please!)
I love that, with all the curious, funky, esoteric “mixology” happening out there, the real role of the bartender has stayed the same.
These are the people who tend the bar. The people who look after you, anticipate your needs, and provide an overall experience so that you can simple sip, relax, and enjoy.
