How do you say “Baby Shower” in Italian?

I don’t think there is an Italian equivalent of the typical American Baby Shower, but I am pretty sure the Italians I know would have been happy with the party we threw last night for two of our favorite Moms-and-Dads-to-Be.  The combination of family, friends, a lot of food and plenty of vino can never be wrong, can it?

There must be something in the water-  this seems to be the week for all things Baby Showers.  I have to admit, the people over at Sotto in Los Angeles really know how to have fun with the Baby Shower games.  Check out this baby food and wine pairing idea for your next shower.  Guaranteed to be a success!

We also had the opportunity to celebrate some rapidly expanding families in our lives last night.  Don’t you just love an excuse for a good party?
