High above the City of Angels…

I arrived at the Ritz Carlton downtown for an appointment with WP24, a Wolfgang Puck Restaurant in the Ritz Carlton with no particular expectations.  Between California and Las Vegas I have been inside many of the Wolfgang Puck establishments, and although they are all equally classy, well-decorated and delicious- I was not prepared for the breathtaking view from WP24.

High above the city, you feel like you’re floating around a modern pirate ship- all glass, concrete and delicate wooden slats.

The wine list is curated by Klaus Puck, who has an amazing old-world palate and has added many surprising gems to his wine program. Look for some very interesting wines from an Austrian producer called Moric (pronounced more like “Moritz”).  This is something like a very burgundian, herbaceous Pinot Noir… fascinating! Between the excellent food, the eclectic wine list and the stunning view- definitely check this place out.
